The Dead Sea Scrolls and Christian Origins
This
volume collects twelve recent studies on the Dead Sea Scrolls,
including a new essay on Qumran messianism, by Joseph Fitzmyer, a
pioneer in the field of Scrolls research. Well know for his landmark
work in Aramaic studies and in the Semitic background of the New
Testament, Fitzmyer here explores many of the important topics that the
discovery of the Scrolls have brought to light bearing on the
interpretation of biblical themes and the rise of early Christianity.
All of the articles in this volume have been updated to take into
account recent discussions.
